Privacy Policy

Ayanda Mabaso ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) of the Republic of South Africa.

2. Information We Collect

When you interact with this site, we may collect:

  • Name, email address, and phone number (via the contact form, booking flow, and newsletter sign-up)
  • Account credentials when you register
  • Order and booking details, including consultation preferences
  • Payment confirmation data returned by our payment provider (we do not store full card details)
  • Basic technical data (browser, device, IP) for security and analytics

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your information on the basis of your consent, performance of a contract (e.g. delivering a booked consultation), compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in running and improving the service.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to enquiries you send via the contact form
  • To deliver consultations and other services you book
  • To process payments and issue invoices
  • To send transactional communications (booking confirmations, receipts)
  • To send newsletters only where you have explicitly opted in
  • To keep the platform secure and detect abuse

5. Third Parties

We share information only with the operators that help us deliver the service:

  • Tredicik — our underlying SaaS platform that stores customer, booking, and invoice data on our behalf.
  • PayFast — our payment gateway, which processes card and EFT payments under its own privacy terms.
  • Email service providers — for transactional and marketing email delivery.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to deliver the service, comply with our legal obligations (including tax and financial record-keeping), and resolve disputes. Where information is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.

7. Your Rights (POPIA sections 23-25)

Under POPIA you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you (section 23)
  • Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information (section 24)
  • Request deletion or destruction of information we no longer need (section 24)
  • Object to processing and withdraw consent at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa

8. Cookies and Local Storage

This site does not use tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage to remember functional state such as your shopping cart and login session. See our cookie banner for details.
